First Finished Models (Paladins)

Well finished...... Ok I need to do some minor details such as the writing on the parchments and the heiraldry on their shields, but their as good as done. I am really happy how they came out. I find the red just at the right tone and although I do not have a picture with the blades in focus, I am really happy how they turned out. The shining blue really emphasises the nemesis force blades. Any comments on the paint job are always welcome!

My next project is gonna be a Brotherhood Champion, but it may take a while as I just received a batch of miniatures from Wyrd. I just started out playing the game Mallifaux (the game that uses the Wyrd Miniatures) with a group of friends. It seems interesting enough and the models look great. I chose the faction: Freikorps (ofcourse not in any way related to an unspecified german army)These finely detailed models may lead my astray from my GK project. But not to worry, any painted models (or WIP) will be added to this blog nontheless.

Baby Steps..

Ok granted, I have not been painting non-stop this week but I still managed to get some progress on my terminator/paladin squad. As you can compare with the previous pictures I have started and finished all the gold parst on the model and started on the other metalics on them. The gold is nothing special to be honost, it has its bling but it needed not to be the main focus on the models, so it suits well. Well As i have nothing to add to a already small blog post I am just gonna stop here.

If you have any comments or feedback I am always happy to hear them. enjoy the pics.

Finished Armour (Paladins)

As I never really understood why the GW Grey Knights were painted metalic, I descided I am gonna paint them grey (if you are wondering why, you are reading a wrong blog :D). This isnt a really original idea ofc as my previous GK army also was this grey/white tone (but this time I did it without blacklining). I felt these pure warriors should shine as a light within darkness, so the grey/white tone fitted that perfectly.

Also note that Gel Medium has dried and been painted/washed. As for the rock, I am still not sure if this black waste theme is working, still figuring out if I should add some grass or something (any comments welcome ofc)

Enjoy the pics and keep on happy painting.

First Pics

Its official, the first start has been made. I wanted this GK army to give the real feeling of batteling a Deamonic incursion, so I thought it appropriate their base should represent a planet that has be devestated by this impending doom.

The purple goo is still drying here and will be painted afterwards. It has been made by mixing Amsterdam Gel Medium (a kind of paste like stuff used for oil paintings) and some Liche Purple. This stuff has a really long dry time though, so patience is needed (Aaarghh...!) Sorry for the dark pictures, gonna need some better lighting for photo's (or some better photagrophy skills).
